Metaphor in the chronicles of Cony and Verissimo

Abstract

The journalistic chronicle, as hybrid between the journalism and literature, describes concrete situations of the daily one, but invent with sights to the entertainment and the critical reflection. To invent a history, from the facts of the real life, the writer uses rhetorical figures, over all, the metaphor. The objective of this article is to identify the metaphor, as one of the creative elements that compose the journalistic chronicles of two consecrated writer Brazilians: Carlos Heitor Cony and Luis Fernando Veríssimo. As theoretical base, this research uses the technique is the content analysis, specifically, the articulation analysis.

Regina Rossetti

possui pós-doutorado pela Universidade de São Paulo (2002), doutorado em Filosofia pela Universidade de São Paulo (2000), mestrado em Filosofia pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1995) e graduação em Filosofia pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1990). Atualmente é docente do Programa de Mestrado em Comunicação da Universidade Municipal de São Caetano do Su - USCS. Tem experiência na área de Comunicação, com ênfase nas interfaces entre Filosofia e Comunicação, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: filosofia contemporânea e mediação; epistemologia da comunicação; imagem, intuição e linguagem; criação e comunicação;cultura e mídia. Autora do livro Movimento e Totalidade em Bergson pela Edusp.
