Narrando Escândalos: Eleições, Campo Jornalístico e Drama Político

Abstract

 

Este estudo propõe uma análise dos modelos narrativos utilizados pelos jornais Diário de Pernambuco e Jornal do Commercio na produção de notícias veiculadas acerca de um escândalo político ocorrido durante as eleições municipais de 2004 no Recife, envolvendo os partidos PMDB e PT e seus respectivos candidatos. Partimos do principio de que as estruturas narrativas, em alguns pontos similares às utilizadas na literatura, utilizadas pelos profissionais do campo jornalístico, ao dramatizarem os acontecimentos e transformarem os envolvidos no conflito em personagens vão de encontro ao mito da objetividade sustentado pela ideologia profissional do jornalismo, que enxerga as notícias como um espelho fiel da realidade.
