The Marxist Theory of Fetishism serves as a cornerstone for critiquing the capitalist mode of production from diverse political standpoints. However, the theory itself is a subject of debate and disagreement within Marxist discourse. This work aims to retrieve its foundational principles and advance an interpretation of its two core components, grounded in Marx's direct analysis. By challenging established readings, we illuminate the theoretical and political implications of this departure. Ultimately, our objective is to restore the theoretical, historical, and political underpinnings of the Marxist Theory of Fetishism and to reassert its centrality to the Marx-Engels critique.
