The article presented here starts from the contradictory ground of mature bourgeois sociability and aims to shed light on studies on technology based on the critique of political economy in the present time. The text deals with technology as a collective result of productive forces and historically highlights the private appropriation of capital over technological goods. Successive approaches to bibliographic research reveal that information and communication Technologies (ICTs) appear in the ballast of reality as mechanisms that enhance the old/new exploitation and control over work and social life, whose primacy is the constant valorization of value.
