Abstract

Based on a feminist and critical-dialectical perspective, this article is the result of a theoretical research and seeks to situate the field of gender diversity in the totality of social relations, highlighting the relations of class and gender. The article discusses the centrality of work from a bibliographical review on the ontology of labor and its new social determinations by the capitalist mode of production, exposing fundamentals of capitalism and reflecting on the symbiosis between capitalism-patriarchy-racism that structures Brazilian social relations based on the work of Heleieth Saffioti. This study develops a Marxist reflection on trans issues using the Marxist view on the research on gender diversity, which are guided by the culturalist and poststructuralist theories. At the same time, we seek to insert the debate on trans identities in Marxist studies.

Graduada em Serviço Social pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro UFRJ (2009) e em Arquivologia pela UNIRIO (2007). Especialista em Gênero e Sexualidade pelo CLAM/IMS/UERJ (2011). Especialista em Políticas Públicas e Cultura de Direitos pelo NEPP-DH/UFRJ (2016). Mestra em Serviço Social pelo PPGSS/UERJ (2017), Área de Concentração em Trabalho e Política Social. Doutoranda em Serviço Social no PPGSS/UFRJ, Área de Concentração Cultura e Serviço Social. Experiência como Assistente Social, pesquisadora e consultora nas áreas das relações de gênero, diversidade sexual e de gênero, direitos sexuais, violência e direitos humanos, infância e juventude, educação profissional juvenil, habitação e política urbana. Atualmente tem se debruçado na tematização identidades trans e o mundo do trabalho.
