We seek to outline, based on a research of Lukács’s Ontology, the most general foundations of the phenomenon that the Hungarian philosopher called the “socially necessary false”. Our purpose is to contribute to the investigations about the current political force of fantastically untrue ideas and conceptions, as we find among the terraplanists or among the ideological nucleus of the Bolsonaro government.References
