Council of Health: the relationship between the decision and control activities

Abstract

This work presents a study of the Municipality Council of Health in São José, state of Santa Catarina. It seeks to explain and to analyse the experience and the internal relationship in the process of decision and control of the municipality health policies. Due to this purpose we centralize our attention to the internal dynamics of the council's meetings; to the relationship between the State and the Council; to the special concerns of the private servers in the Unified Health System — SUS and to the new ways through which the users are politicaly sharing the process.

Tânia Regina Krüger, UFSC - Florianópolis - SC

Possui graduação em Serviço Social pela UFSC (1990), mestrado em Educação e Cultura pela UDESC (1998) e doutorado em Serviço Social pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (2005). Atualmente é professor adjunto I da UFSC. Tem experiência na área de Saúde Coletiva, com ênfase em Saúde Pública, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: serviço social, políticas sociais, SUS, política de saúde, controle social e conselho/conferência de saúde.
