Subjectivity & research: expression of an identity

This study presents a brief theoretical systematization of the relationship of subjectivity with the process of qualitative research in the human and social sciences. With “research” understood as a process marked by the search for knowledge, through objectively given conditions and which has choices and routes that are not random but desired and conquered by a researcher and inserted in a given space and time. In this sense, a discussion of these issues calls in the first place for the elaboration of a brief analysis of the concepts of identity and subjectivity and then a presentation of the relationship of these concepts with the study.
