II World Social Forum: meanings and challenges
Abstract
This article aims to highlight the meanings and challenges presented by the II World Social Forum, with a focus on the plural nature and efficiency of networking. The emergence of a number of social movements, their struggles and support for na alternative and solidary globalization, where human dignity can be the prism through which a possible new world is envisaged. Future challenges are brought into the scene so as to highlight common elements and discuss divergences, thus overcoming this initial movement of contestation of the present model of society.
