This article aims to examine Brazilian labor legislation in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. The intention is to demonstrate that emergency measures to reduce workers' rights in the pandemic indicate not a break with the previous moment, but a continuity thread promoted by the neoliberal offensive in Brazil. Therefore, the fine line between exception and normality will be demonstrated and, consequently, the precariousness of work as a rule. In the end, the research indicates question about the future of labor law amid the specificities of capitalist society and authoritarian political practices.
