Healthcare Policy in Cuba in the New Millennium: the Contribution of Social Work
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to discuss healthcare policies in Cuba and present some observations about social work in healthcare. A study of the literature was conducted and empirical data collected from five interviews conducted in 2013 with professors, social workers and representatives of the Federation of Cuban Women. The study makes frequent comparisons with the reality of healthcare and social work in Brazil to highlight the particularities in the situation of healthcare and healthcare policy in Cuba.Downloads
