Abstract

The paper will discuss the new politics of identity that are been proposed in order to combat racism. It will also reflect on the racialization of public policies and of our costumes. The question raised in the paper is what is the real purpose of these new policies? Describing the myth of racism and also the myth of the combat of racism in Brazil the recent history of the introduction of policies based on “race” will be analyzed. The question is what is the aim of introducing “race” in our juridical system? What is the aim of such a radical change in our concept of nation?
