Abstract

This paper aims to reflect on the process of deterritorialization of African subjects who experienced the diaspora, choosing three texts of female authorship from the Republic of Zimbabwe, Nervous Conditions (DANGAREMBGA, 1988), Zenzele: uma carta para minha filha (MARAIRE, 1996) and Precisamos de Novos Nomes (BULAWAYO, 2014). The discussion will focus on the analysis of some characters in the books and how their experiences resulted in traumas, both psychological and physical, in observing the different perspectives of overcoming

Larissa da Silva Lisboa Souza, Universidade de São Paulo (USP)

Formada em Letras pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), Especialista em Educação para as Relações Étnico-Raciais e Mestra em Estudos Literários pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar), atualmente é doutoranda na Universidade de São Paulo (USP) no programa de Estudos Comparados de Literaturas de Língua Portuguesa (DLCV), com a tese sobre a distopia nos romances de autoria feminina em Moçambique e no Zimbábue, sob a orientação do Professor Mário César Lugarinho, realizando, também, uma bolsa sanduíche na Universidade de Lisboa, sob a orientação da Professora Inocência Mata.
