Author Biographies

Lorena Féres da Silva Telles, University of Pittsburgh

É pós-doutoranda no Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS), na University of Pittsburgh, pós-doutora pelo departamento de História da Unicamp, graduada, mestre e doutora em História pela Universidade de São Paulo. É autora dos livros Teresa Benguela e Felipa Crioula estavam grávidas: maternidade e escravidão no Rio de Janeiro (1830-1888) (Editora da Unifesp, 2022), e Libertas entre sobrados: mulheres negras e trabalho doméstico em São Paulo (1880-1910) (Editora Alameda, 2013).

Tânia Salgado Pimenta, Casa de Oswaldo Cruz

É graduada em História pela UFRJ, é mestre e doutora em História pela UNICAMP. Atua como professora do Programa de Pós-Graduação em História das Ciências e da Saúde-Fiocruz e pesquisadora da Casa de Oswaldo Cruz-Fiocruz. É bolsista de produtividade em pesquisa do CNPq. Organizou, junto com colegas, Cativeiros Enfermos: assistência e saúde no Brasil escravista, (Hucitec, 2023); Artes de Curar e Práticas de Saúde: circularidades, institucionalidades e repressão (Hucitec, 2022); e História da saúde no Brasil (Hucitec, 2018).
