Abstract

This paper is a presentation of the basic concepts of Buddhism, stripped, to the extent possible, of the nuances of each culture where it was installed. To do so, in their interpretations are highlighted the Sanskrit roots of each of these concepts, leading to a “secular” interpretation of that thought. Some
oppositions are also highlighted, such as instant-moment, rebirthrein -carnation, process-object, identity- continuity, and “being” versus “to be”.
