Migrantes-nômades: chegar, partir ou ficar?

Este artigo analisa a insuficiência do termo "êxodo rural" para definir os deslocamentos populacionais que emergem, em especial os acontecidos nas últimas décadas. A utilização genérica do termo pode reduzir a compreensão de tais processos no atual contexto, o qual corresponde à redução das possibilidades de mobilidade social ascendente e à emergência de novos deslocamentos que relativizam os chamados pontos de "partida" e de "chegada", bem como o percurso rural-urbano de um processo migratório. A forma pela qual a migração tem se desenhado, em especial na Mesorregião Oeste de Santa Catarina, instiga um debate sobre os pressupostos que norteiam as discussões sobre o tema e o que viria a ser hoje o problema social e político da migração.Downloads
