Rural, ruralidad, nueva ruralidad y contraurbanización. Un estado de la cuestión

Este articulo procura analizar la vigencia dei concepto de ruralidad cuestionada por algunas interpretaciones que proponen su abandono o lo reducen a una representacián construida. Autores ingleses y franceses, ante los ctunbios provocados por la globalización, utilizan nuevas categorias como contra-urbanización y nueva mralidad. Tanto en nuestro continente como en Europa y Norteamérica pueden diferenciarse aquellos que pronosticanel finde lo rural y los que optan por actualizar el concepto pensando un campo donde lo agrícola no es ya dominante. Se muestra el peculiar significado de los conceptos aludidos en América Latina y se intenta sistematizar el panoramapresentado y sus implicancias para los estudios rurales.
