The article analyzes the book Kentukis (2021) by Samanta Schweblin, exploring dystopia, the intersection between the real and the virtual, the ethics of unauthorized observation and authenticity in human relationships, using the analysis of texts such as Imperfect Image: Utopian Thought for an Antiutopian Epoch (2007) by Jacoby, Dadosfera (2021) by Beiguelman, Intermediality (2012) by Clüver, Mediatization (2014) by Hjarvard and The State of Texts (2019) by Villa-Forte. The fragmented structure of the book, by employing an engaging and fragmented narrative, reflects the synergies of network society, questioning whether dystopian accounts are really dystopian or whether they reflect the contemporary "real", delves into human interactions in an increasingly digital world and interconnected, addressing existential, ethical and psychological issues that reflect contemporary concerns about the influence of technology on interpersonal relationships. The work is also seen as an expression of the intertextuality between literature and technology, addressing the influence of technology on human interactions. Schweblin uses engaging writing, influenced by audiovisual, and explores the characters' fears and insecurities, maintaining a high level of suspense and ambiguity. The author invites readers to reflect on the implications of human connectivity in the digital age, providing a literary experience that resonates beyond the pages of the book.
