Abstract

The paper presents and criticizes a number of concepts defined by videopoetry Konyves Tom, Giselle Beiguelman and Alvaro Garcia Andrade, among others. From this survey, expanded on my research entitled "Videopoetry: analysis, concept and production", which among other incursions into the world of poetic motion pictures prospected the first videopoetry, the article proposes a new concept of videopoetry, taking into account mainly that the presence of verbal language is not an obligatory characteristic in the works of videopoetry. Noteworthy is the support obtained in the research of Wagner Moreira about the spaces in which artistic writing appears to assert its status as poetic construction and Lucia Santaellla studies on verbal array logic.
