Abstract

 This article aims to present a study on the open access policy in Portugal by analysing two digital archives: the Collaborative Digital Archive of the Book of Disquiet (LdoD Archive) and the Digital Archive of Portuguese Experimental Poetry (Po-ex.net). Both provide materials under an open access regime, emerging as invaluable research tools and teaching resources. Simultaneously, both LdoD Archive and Po-ex.net extrapolate the traditional concept of archive, fostering unconventional approaches to its content. In the case of these archives, the open access policy is used not only in connection with free dissemination of knowledge, but also with a reflection on how we store, edit, disseminate, and receive information. Based on some open access movement’s foundational documents, we will analyze how LdoD Archive and Po-ex.net make use of open access publishing to include readers in a self-regenerating process.

Daniela Maduro, Universidade de Coimbra

É mestre em Estudos Anglo-Americanos (Universidade de Coimbra) e em Estudos Editoriais (Universidade de Aveiro). Doutorada em Materialidades da Literatura (Universidade de Coimbra), tem colaborado com vários arquivos digitais e projetos focados no estudo da narrativa, media digitais, multimodalidade, literatura experimental e literatura electrónica. Foi bolseira de pós-doutoramento na Universidade de Bremen (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions), onde desenvolveu um projeto sobre literatura eletrónica. É editora da antologia Digital Media and Textuality: From Creation to Archiving (2017) e trabalha no Centro de Literatura Portuguesa (grupo Mediação Digital e Materialidades da Literatura), sediado na Universidade de Coimbra.
