From this perspective, the study area was the Metropolitan Region of Vale do Aço, comprised of the municipalities of Coronel Fabriciano, Ipatinga, Santana do Paraíso, and Timóteo, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Data collection was carried out through the analysis of the workplace accident report for each incident between September 2020 and September 2025, in partnership with the Regional Reference Center for Workers' Health of Ipatinga. The objectives were to identify the main triggering factors for accidents and to outline applicable mitigating measures. The study found a prevalence of accident and ergonomic risks, creating opportunities for typical accidents and occupational diseases. Furthermore, the importance of protective measures and training to encourage safe behavior among employees was highlighted.
