Introduction: Mental workload occurs when the work environment presents aspects such as information overload, continuous work with data input, fatigue, and monotony. Beta waves are related to attention, concentration, anxiety, and stress related to the cognitive information input provided by the work. Objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of a relaxation method using therapeutic massage, combined with eye exercises and binaural beat music therapy in control room workers. Methods: This was an experimental, randomized, and cross-sectional study with 6 control room workers. Four brainwave measurements were taken for 30 seconds before and at the end of the workday for all workers. The Stroop test was performed at the beginning and end of each of the four data collection days. The HAD anxiety questionnaire was applied at the beginning of the first day and at the end of the last day. The workers were instructed to squeeze the therapeutic massage whenever they remembered, inhale the fragrance of essential oils, and perform eye exercises and neuromodulation with binaural beats. Results: The Stroop test showed that all workers reduced their reaction time and errors. The anxiety questionnaire showed a change in classification in two workers, with a reduction in anxiety, and beta waves showed a statistically significant reduction in all workers. Final considerations: This study showed that the relaxation method, when used at various times throughout the day, reduces anxiety and promotes visual relaxation, decreasing visual fatigue.
