Taking as a starting point the perception of the popular song as aprivileged subject for cultural studies in the Brazilian context, the article
demonstrates that its inscription in the field of literary studies demands new methodologies, due to the relevance of the voice and the body in this form of cultural artifact. As a consequence, the article returns to literature questions about the pertinence of the textual practices of analyses and interpretations.
