Abstract

The proposal of this text is to reflect upon the notion of library in the work of Italo Calvino, having as a reference the collection studies and the book Invisible Cities. In this sense, it seeks to point out that the library appears in the work of Calvino as a place of knowledge production marked by its reticular feature and transdisciplinarity, space in which the diverse is crisscrossed in order to provide a multiplicity of senses and interpretations of the world. Calvino’s literature, thus, thought as a library, makes possible its reading as a place of memory, as a collection of knowledge, as a reordering of the world.
