Abstract

This article is one of the many ways of polyphonic’s reading Italo Calvino's book: Le città invisibile. It means to travel the dialogicals chapters that open and close the narrative sequence in fact. Starting from the historical relationship Marco Polo/Kublai Khan, we interpreted the conversations of the Calvino's characters always keeping in mind the text “The Storyteller” and the “Theses” wrote by Walter Benjamin that discusses wich are the differences existents between the narrator that changes experience and the narrator of novels that is lost in himself, far way of the human contact.
