Resistance and social and (de)colonial subversion: the representation of the marginal subject in Clarice Lispector

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the representation of the marginal subject and decolonial in the novel A Hora da Estrela and in the short story “A Menor Mulher do Mundo”, by Clarice Lispector. We will initially deal with Post-Modernism as an aesthetic and philosophical “movement”, the characteristics it has in the works in question and its implication in the constitution of decolonial discourse. We will also carry out a comparative analysis of the works in order to identify points between them of approximation or distancing in terms of the destitution of normative social structures, mainly regarding the figure of Macabéa in A Hora da Estrela and Pequena Flor in “A Menor Mulher do Mundo”. The methodology will be the discussion around the notion of source (tradition) and influence (modern text) of European culture on Brazilian culture, as well as analyzing this process from the perspective of decolonial discourse, in the ways of producing subjectivities about the text Claricean literature aiming to decolonize and decolonize hegemonic social structures. To this end, we cite the authors of the decolonial perspective and the idea of ​​border thinking, such as Ballestrin (2013), Bernadino-Costa and Grosfoguel (2016) and Mignolo (2017), and critical authors of Claricean texts such as: Massaud Moisés (1989), Antonio Candido (1992), Benedito Nunes (1995), among others.
