Income generation and education at the Bottom of Pyramid: a study in São Paulo

This study has as main objective to verify if education is directly related to increased income, focusing on the population of the base of the pyramid in São Paulo. The paper aims to observe whether it is perceived by this population the relevance of education to increase their income and if this would be a motivating factor to increaser formal education. A research based on secondary data and through a survey with 120 respondents at the bottom of the pyramid. The results show that the population of the base of the pyramid understands the importance of education and its impact on current and future income.Downloads
