História da filosofia, cânone e sexismo: notas sobre o caso de Simone de Beauvoir

O objetivo geral deste artigo é apresentar um panorama da posição de Simone de Beauvoir no cânone filosófico. Mais especificamente, esta apresentação consiste em mostrar a falta de legitimidade filosófica, as traduções inadequadas e o apagamento dos materiais de história da filosofia que sua obra enfrentou. Também apresentamos a questão da influência de Sartre e a suposta negação de Beauvoir em se considerar filósofa. Destacamos a dificuldade inicial de Beauvoir em integrar o cenário filosófico geral e a tradição existencialista-fenomenológica, observando uma mudança gradual com o reconhecimento tardio. O artigo termina com algumas considerações sobre a influência da militância e da teoria feminista nesse contexto.
