O palco das decisões sobre o ensino da tolerância

Abstract

O objetivo deste texto é explorar algumas considerações sobre a noção de ensino de tolerância, dando especial atenção à possibilidade de tolerância em povos não-liberais. Rawls argumenta que toleramos as pessoas e grupos de pessoas, dentro de uma sociedade liberal, desde que elas adiram a doutrinas que afirmam fundamentos democráticos (PL). Em O Direito dos Povos, por seu lado, ele afirma que devemos tolerar certos tipos de estados não-liberais, rotulados de sociedades hierárquicas decentes, desde que satisfaçam determinadas condições. Mas, qual a justificativa para se tolerar povos não-liberais? Como ensinar tolerância?
