Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The instructions provided in the author guidelines have been followed.
- All authors participated in the development of the article, either in part or in full.

The manuscript is original and unpublished, and it is not under consideration for publication in any other journal. It will not be submitted elsewhere while under review by ethic@.

The authors acknowledge that the manuscript does not contain any plagiarism, research fabrication, or data falsification/manipulation.
- The manuscript has been prepared using the journal’s template and complies with all formatting requirements.

The “publication data” template is duly completed with the signature of all authors of the manuscript.

Authorship details have been completely removed from the manuscript, including the text and document properties (in Word or the software used), thereby ensuring adherence to the journal’s confidentiality requirements for double-blind peer review.
Articles
Text resulting from completed research, highlighting the theoretical-methodological framework, procedures employed in the research, and analysis of the results obtained. Articles presenting a critical analysis of topics related to the field of Modern and Contemporary Moral Philosophy are welcome.
Translations
Translations into Portuguese will present versions of classical texts of academic interest in the field of ethics and moral philosophy. They must have authorization from the original author or publisher, or be in the public domain. Translations of articles recently published in another journal will not be accepted.
Book Reviews
Original texts containing critical commentaries on relevant works in the field of Philosophy published within the last two years. Book reviews submitted to the journal must be critical, provide an analysis of the work, and situate the book within a broader context of academic debate, emphasizing its theoretical and methodological implications. Reviews that consist exclusively of a summary of the book are not accepted.
Interviews
Text resulting from the collection of statements with the aim of reproducing a discussion held with philosophers and specialists in the field of ethics and moral philosophy who seek to contribute to dialogue and debate in this area.

Authors retain copyright and publication rights over their works, without restrictions.
Upon submitting their work, authors grant ethic@ the exclusive right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) 4.0 International License. This license allows third parties to remix, adapt, and build upon the published work, provided that proper credit is given to the authorship and to the original publication in this journal.
Authors are also permitted to enter into additional contracts, separately, for the non-exclusive distribution of the published version of the work in this journal (for example: deposit in an institutional repository, make it available on a personal website, publish translations, or include it as a book chapter), provided that authorship and the initial publication in ethic@ are acknowledged.
