Extension project: teaching-learning english language course for UTFPR academics campus Francisco Beltrão

The knowledge of other languages has become more necessary in academic and professional life. The objective of this work is to analyze the English-language extension project for teaching and learning the English language, developed from June to November 2017, only with the students of the Food Engineering (FE) course at the Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná, Francisco Beltrão Campus (UTFPR-FB). Seven FE participants finished the course, and the english instructors were two FE students who had their first experience in the classroom, read texts by Michel Foucault that discussed the relationship between discipline and education, and analyzed the project along with the coordinators through the qualitative methodology and bibliographic survey. The research carried out showed that the academic students of the course and the instructors were more confident about the use of the language and showed interest in continuing in the FE course.References
