Since 2019, the project "Sharing Stories about responsible ownership, health, and animal welfare" from the Federal University of Santa Catarina has been raising awareness among children about holistic health through artistic tools. Addressing animal abandonment and overpopulation, it integrates students and professors from the Veterinary Medicine program into the local community. By involving children in playful and interactive activities, the results demonstrate engagement and awareness of the theme, establishing a significant connection between the university and the community. The project not only shapes a conscious generation in animal protection but also highlights the interconnection between human, environmental, and animal health, contributing to comprehensive awareness. This initiative seeks to positively transform the relationship between people and animals, building a sustainable future.
