The extension program entitled “Dialogues, experiences and research with teachers who teach mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and science in the context of continuing education” was created at the Federal University of Rondônia (UNIR) by the Postgraduate Program in Mathematics Education (PPGEM)/Ji-Paraná Campus and the Postgraduate Program in Natural Sciences Teaching (PGECN)/Rolim de Moura Campus. Its objective is to promote continued education for teachers who teach mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and science, addressing different themes in the teaching-learning process. The duration of the program is two years (September 2022 to September 2024) and consists of two events and 16 courses, totaling 527 hours. A total of 915 vacancies were offered, with preferential participation of teachers who teach mathematics (pedagogues and graduates in mathematics), science, biology, physics and chemistry. In the first year of the program, an event and seven extension courses were held for teachers from state and municipal secretariats in the state of Rondônia. The repercussions of ongoing educational actions and the request for new courses by other state secretariats indicate that the extension program has successfully achieved its objectives.
