Violence against women in Latin America: access to justice for deaf and hearing women.

Guest editors: Danielle Vanessa Costa Sousa (CAS-MA/IFMA/UFSC) and Ioana Cornea (National Autonomous University of Mexico – UNAM)

This call for papers accepts contributions in the format of articles, book reviews and interviews that discuss the multiple theoretical and applied approaches of Anthropological Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Sign Language Translation and Interpretation, Legal Translation and Judicial Interpretation in Courts. Proposals that bring forward topics about violence against deaf and hearing women in Latin America, with a special regard to the proposals that present and discuss strategies and coping practices against gender violence. Therefore, submissions that focus on the following subtopics will be received: laws and services of protection and support for women in violence environments that seek for support services and security; statical mappings of women in violent environments in Latin America, as well as the different types of services provided to these women; access of women to justice and the proposed solutions by the involved legal agents.
