Abstract

This study about neological formations is part in a research whose goal is the investigation, under a discursive perspective, of drift cases (displacement) in the formal written use of Brazilian Portuguese, its normative implications and consequences for the pedagogy of the Brazilian native language. Its main reference are predominant grammatization apparatuses (grammars, dictionaries, manuals), which correspond to a presumed standard established along the Brazilian Portuguese formation. Taking into consideration the conditions of production and interpretation of the discourse, I introduce a way for understanding the rising of multiple neologisms, regarding their practices and social representations.
