This paper aims to investigate the reader behavior of students from 1st to 3rd grade of elementary school. We will undertake our work based on mainly the contributions of Kleiman (1993), Pennac (1994) and Chaveau (2002 and 2007). To perform this work, we used a corpus composed of 71 semi-structured interviews conducted in the school where the participants study. The results of our study demonstrated that: 1. readings performed by students vary from one grade to another, 2. students enjoy reading and 3. Students recognize the importance of reading for school life and for the life outside school.Downloads
