The body that we (do not) see sees us

Having as theoretical foundation Pêcheux´s Discourse Analysis, and aiming to establish a dialogue between two different expressions – the literary and the filmic ones – in the perspective of the body as channel and expression of the psychoanalytic constitution of language, this article presents some considerations on Discursive Scraps (DSs) interpretative analysis. The analysis relies on Raduan Nassar´s novel Lavoura Arcaica, and on its adaptation/translation into other language and ode -- image in motion -- from which resulted in the homonymous film by Luis Fernando Carvalho. For the purposes intended in this study, language is seen in the pre-discursive stage in the center of the Borromean knot, the interstitial space of representative circles of the Lacanian triad - the Real, the Symbolic and the Imaginary. Language is also seen as having a borderline nature between the psychic and the somatic, the starting point for two other drives observed by J. Lacan – the invocatory and the scopic ones.Downloads
