A LOOK AT THE LITERATURE ON KNOWLEDGE SHARING MODELS IN THE CONTEXT OF FAMILY BUSINESS SUCCESSION OF BRAZILIAN ORGANIZATIONS

Abstract

Expanding knowledge in what involves and circumscribes the model of “knowledge sharing” in the context of business succession, that opens up perspectives to know the interfaces of this field of study, particularly in the context of family businesses, which play a relevant role in the Brazilian economic scenario. The “knowledge sharing”, as well as aspects the involves business succession, play a meaningful role in the management of these companies. In this sense, this study aims to investigate, through a look at the literature, models of “knowledge sharing” that can contribute to an assertive communication in the process that involves business succession. Four “knowledge sharing” models were analyzed. It was found that indicates, both motivators and inhibitors, can make a difference in the process of a promising and solid succession. Each model has specific characteristics, some coincide, others not so much, however, all contribute in some way to strengthen the “knowledge sharing” in the succession process.
