The “desacontecimento” in sports narratives: analysis of journalistic productions Eliane Brum on the World Cup 2014

This article presents reflections on sport and journalism from a study of the narratives of Eliane Brum during the World Cup in 2014, by invitation of the newspaper Folha de São Paulo. Develops interpretative analyzes eight reports in order to identify the criteria desacontecimento - characteristic to Brum productions - as a new possibility to look at the mega sports events coverage. Seeks to show football as a path to understanding the culture and society (Da Matta 1982, 2006; Barthes, 1961), and demonstrate the contributions that can come from a dialogue between journalism and such conceptions.
