Abstract

This article analyzes the report Abraçado comigo ‘Rodrigue’ dizia: ‘Mãinha’, não me deixe morrer, from the special series Viúvas do Veneno, published by the newspaper Diário do Nordeste. Assuming the valorization of subjectivity as an evidence included in a set of transformations in the field of journalism, punctuated by authors such as Charron and Bonville (2016) and Medina (2014), this research intends to realize how subjectivation reveals itself in the selected report’s text and its discursive journalistic practices. To do so, we use the Critical Discourse Analysis, proposed by Fairclough (2001), which apprehends the three-dimensional discourses: text, discursive practice and social practice. From the analysis, it is concluded that the report uses textual and locational information procedures to guide the journalistic production towards its subjectivation, from the perspective of the communication journalism paradigm.
