Abstract

The present issue of Katálysis Magazine focuses on a critical analysis of central and vital themes in the current political situation in Brazil, taking as its central axis of interpretation the dynamics of the relations between the class struggle, the production and reproduction of social relations and ideologies. At the same time, it seeks to focus on the repercussions of these themes for the profession of Social Service, taken in its particles, mediations and contradictions with this broader historical context. This perspective expresses a theoretical-methodological position (and ideo-political) articulated to a question of method, linked to historical matter, to the category of totality and to dialectical reason. Through this framework, the articles analyze their objects of study from a thread that gives them unity, relating their research problems to the concrete historical contradictions of the development of capitalism in Brazil.
