Health policies and medical systems In Brazil
Abstract
The following article is a synthesis of my master degree the sis — titled Official, Family and Parallel Medical Systems: Perception and Behavior Study related to the health-disease process in low in come communities, developed in Florianópolis and including data from an on going research titled: "Unique Health System (Sistema Único de Saúde) — Analysis and furtherance of the community's participation in the Health Municipal Council of Florianópolis". The dissertation's objective was to analyze the health-disease concept (population's perception), as well as the patterns of the family self-medication practices and the irrelation with the official healing system (through of the data obtained in health centers) and with parallel healing systems (therapeutic itinerary). The actual research's objective to analyze the reality of the SUS implementation at a local level, its effectiveness, solutions and the degree of satisfaction among its users and employees, taking as analysis unit the Health Municipal Council of Florianópolis (CMS) in the light of the present official health program, and evaluate the implementation of the Council's decisions by the responsible entities, as well as the survey made by Counselors.Downloads
