Abstract

 

A contemporary challenge of solidary economy is the elaboration of a public manifest containing clues to the formulation of public policies supporting solidary economy itself. This paper, which is an effort towards this end, presents a reflection on the dilemmas of solidary economy in the context of the great contemporary transformations and of the debate of the alliances for the 2002 elections in Brazil. The paper also criticizes the “Partido dos Trabalhadores” – PT (Workers´s Party) and the leftwing in general, considering that a timid instrumental approximation to solidary economy can be seen as the Achilles´ heel of an alternative political project.

Armando de Melo Lisboa, UFSC - Florianópolis - SC

Possui graduação em Ciências Econômicas pela UFSC (1979), especialização em Administração Pública pela UFSC (1982), mestrado em Sociologia Política pela UFSC (1988) e doutorado em Sociologia Econômica pela Universidade Técnica de Lisboa (2002). Atualmente é Professor Adjunto IV da UFSC. Tem experiência na área de Economia. Atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: solidariedade, economia solidária, Ethos barroco, América ibérica, Socioeconomia solidária e capitalismo.
