Participação de representantes da sociedade civil na esfera pública na América Latina.

Partindo de cenários desenhados pelas novas políticas públicas na América Latina, especialmente no caso do Brasil, o trabalho apresenta os eixos principais destas políticas no que diz respeito à participação de grupos organizados da sociedade civil. Demarcam-se as diferenças entre as atuais políticas sociais voltadas para o atendimento de demandas sociais e a construção e implementação destas políticas nos anos de 1990. O objetivo principal é o de qualificar o caráter e a natureza das novas ações envolvendo a sociedade civil organizada e as instâncias governamentais, indagando sobre os impactos e resultados destas relações no processo democrático em curso.
