About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Política & Sociedad is a scientific journal with a continuous publication model, affiliated with the Graduate Program in Sociology and Political Science at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, with 24 years of publication.

It is dedicated to the promotion of previously unpublished articles, reviews, translations and bibliographic essays about issues and problems of political sociology and related disciplines. The journal selects its content for publication guided by the criteria of academic quality and social relevance. It emphasizes pluralism and an exchange of ideas, with contributions welcomed from researchers from Brazilian and international academic communities associated to a wide variety of intellectual traditions in the social sciences and to different research programs in the realm of political sociology.
