Abstract

This essay addresses the ways in which feminist cultural journalism (Las/12) found in the women's supplement of a popular Argentine daily newspaper (Página/12) advances a critique of the gender system within the North/South market economy while advocating disruptions of political and social discourse through a gaze that is decidedly queer: It also announces the violence of neoliberalism against women's interests and brings lesbian projects to surface as an alternative to the market domestication of women.
