Eight Years of Maria da Penha Law. Advances, Obstacles and Challenges

In 2014, the Maria da Penha Law completed eight years. Each year, the commemorative events bring the opportunity to make statements and reflections on progress, obstacles and challenges to its implementation and its impact on universal access to rights and justice for women victims. This article is intended to contribute some ideas on the importance of integrated network of specialized services to achieve better results in implementing the Maria da Penha Law.. Reflections use research results have attended between 2008 and 2013 on implementation of the law, as well as other studies conducted in the period.Downloads
