“Confusion, Indecision and Uncertainty”: Bisexuality Statements in Jurisprudence

From the mapping analysis of judicial decisions of the Courts of Justice of the southeastern region of Brazil, this research sought to understand how bisexuality is stated in such documents: its construction as differentiated sexuality, the forms of violence to which it is associated and the unfolding of greater relevance. We problematize the discursive production on bisexuality, analyzing its invisibility as a distinct category in relation to the LGBT field, the scarcity of related documents and the dispersion of this debate. We describe and problematize, especially, the statements of a paradigmatic judicial decision that antagonizes bisexuality and places it as a key factor in the annulment of conjugal union.
