The book edited by Kim Toffoletti, Holly Thorpe and Jessica Francombe-Webb, addresses post-feminism in the sports world and "new femininities". This work questions some of the ideals promoted by the "sports media industrial complex" that influences women's social representation. The fourteen chapters of the book are organized in three parts, with the contribution of researchers from: United States, Canada, England, Australia and New Zealand. The chapters cover research on various sports, such as: roller derby, skateboard, football (football), tennis and MMA.
