The match between the third sector and the academic research was the starting point for the settlement of LetrasLivres Publishing House, created by ANIS: Institute of Bioethics, Human Rights and Gender to serve as a publishing mechanism of the institution’s research on ethics and feminist bioethics. The article describes the Publishing’s first steps, the editorial process of its publications, as well as the difficulties faced regarding the spreading and commercialization in the Brazilian editorial market. Positive aspects like LetrasLivres’ cultural project pioneering and boldness are detailed with the objective of driving the reader to acknowledge all Publishing’s characteristics, mainly its differential on being the only publishing house specialized in bioethics and feminist bioethics in Latin America.Downloads
